Carter, Baker to Head Elections Panel

Well, that's great. Jimmy Carter, Republican James Baker and Tom Daschle are to sit on a private Commission on Federal Election Reform; holding two public meetings and making a report to Congress.
'I am concerned about the state of our electoral system and believe we need to improve it,' Carter said in a statement. He said the group will assess 'issues of inclusion' in federal voting and propose recommendations to improve the process."
Long lines are also a problem, they say.

Comments by bullshit-weary Internet posters say:
Talk about having the fox guard the henhouse. The Republicans should be in great shape for the 2006 congressional elections and the 2008 presidential election.

Baker is there to make sure elections remain rigged. He is the engineer of the Flroida electoral theft. The man is a criminal and consigliere of the Bush Crime Family. Putting Baker on a Fair Elections committee is like putting Bill Clinton on an abstinence committee.

Carter is a flat out wuss, while Bake (to use a howlarious line from Salon) is nothing more than the Bush family janitor.
The Democratic Party is to the election fraud issue, as a raincoat-clad 'flasher' is to impotence: They briefly whip it out, wave it around a bit and then quickly put it away -hoping this flamboyant show will gloss over the reality that it never really works when it matters.

Yawn. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
