Allawai : 'Dead' Man Still Talking?

First, the rumor of Allawai's death:
Unconfirmed reports from the Resistance indicate that collaborator Iyad Allawi may dead or critically injured after a Resistance attack. The attack may explain the absence of Allawi suddenly from all media outlets as well as his absence from the oath ceremony given by the new collaborator government in recent days. [source]
Nevertheless today, Khaled Yacoub Oweis for Reuters reports interviewing him, without saying when:
Iraq's Finance Minister Ali Allawi said reforming the procurement system for food and other supplies was a priority.

"There has been obvious corruption in procurement and there were illegal and illegitimate transfers of huge funds abroad, outside the control of the Iraqi state," Allawi told Reuters. "We want to make sure that the contracts that are pending or are signed recently do not reek of corruption," he said. [source]
So, go figger'. (can any Iraq contract NOT reek of corruption?)

On the other hand:
On April 20, a fifth attempted assassination of interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi failed [source]
Only a question of time, it seems...
